These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the ReadME mobile application operated by Signal Fruit LLC (“Signal Fruit”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By using the app, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
ReadME lets you submit article URLs and listen to AI-generated audio narrations. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use ReadME. By using the app you confirm you meet this requirement.
3. Your Content
You are responsible for the URLs you submit. You must have the right to access the content at those URLs. Do not submit URLs to content that is illegal, harmful, or that you do not have permission to access.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
- ReadME offers optional paid subscriptions processed through Apple's in-app purchase system.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policy.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: reverse-engineer the app, use it to violate any law, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, or use automated scripts to submit URLs in bulk.
6. Intellectual Property
The ReadME app, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Signal Fruit LLC. Article content remains the property of the respective publishers; we do not claim ownership over extracted text.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AUDIO SYNTHESIS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIGNAL FRUIT LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
9. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
